I have been writing since I learned what a pencil was for! And as luck would have it, preserved for posterity thanks to my dear mother is my very first poem, which I have reproduced for your interest, and respectfully submit with the subtitle “Humble Beginnings”.
I gave up illustrating my work, but continued to write during my teens. In my early twenties I published poetry in the now defunct magazine, “Canadian Author and Bookman,” and in anthologies from Creative Writing programs at Algonquin College and the University of Ottawa.
In 1998 I returned to writing full time after taking what I call “a twenty-year sabbatical” in the world of high tech and management consulting.
I live in beautiful Richmond, Ontario, with my husband and two sons.
